Even though it was snowing in NYC yesterday, it’s officially springtime! The crocuses in my garden should be blooming any day now… Those bright little fighter flowers who bloom through the snow have been on my mind – they signify that it’s almost time to celebrate putting the snow boots and parkas away! Symbolically, they’d be a great flower for a wedding celebration. They don’t live long once they’re cut, so if you’re thinking that you’d love some crocuses at your wedding, it might be worthwhile (and eco-friendly) to use potted buds. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite crocus finds – from real blooms to felted wool to paper to sugar… We can’t get enough of these tough, cheerful little flowers!
I hope you enjoy the crocuses & that spring really shows up soon!
